Project Scope
TEG Consulting Engineers was engaged by Homeland Station to provide a reticulation network design for its cattle watering requirements.
The project involved obtaining survey data GIS location and levels. This data was then used to build a network model to confirm supply head and available flows.
This role required the following:
- Obtaining GIS Data and converting to dxf format.
- Building a network model of bore capacity, pipes, tanks and reservoirs. Generated various scenario models to confirm that supply head and flow rates met industry standards.
- The network model arrangement was presented in CAD format for government funding submission and included providing engineering certification.
Our Involvement
TEG Consulting Engineers undertook all GIS and Network Modelling to design the proposed reticulation network.
Most of the GIS data was based on Elvis and FarmMap 4D. This required TEG Consulting to export these data flies to dxf format and import into Watercom Drains software to produce the reticulation model.
TEG Consulting undertook the following actions:
- Transferring of GIS data into dxf format to model network.
- Liaising with clients to appreciate how the reticulation network needed to function to suit their cattle station.
Project Outcomes
The project funding was submitted by the due date and certified.
