TEG Consulting Engineers was engaged as Project Manager to manage the administration of the 2011 – 7P NDRRA Recovery works for TMR in the Banana Shire.
The project involved undertaking emergent works to repair TMR’s damaged road network in the Fitzroy Region.
The role required the following:
- Activate the flood event on behalf of TMR Fitzroy Region.
- Scoping sites, preparing estimates and taking photographic evidence.
- Engaging Council and Roadtek to undertake the works as per the scoping inspection.
- Prepare and report on financial and construction activities to the principal.
- Assessing Contractors progress claims.
- Maintaining registers.
- Preparing emergent works submission documents for Queensland Reconstruction Authority Approval.
- Regularly liaise with all stakeholders.
Our Involvement
TEG Consulting Engineers as the Project Manager applied for the activation of the 2011 7P flood event in Banana Shire on behalf of TMR Fitzroy Region. TEG managed Banana Shire Council and RoadTek to undertake 3 million of recovery works. This included scoping sites, taking photographic evidence, providing monthly progress and financial reports to the Principal, assessing progress claims, maintaining registers, estimating and preparing submission documents for Queensland Reconstruction Authority approval.
Project Outcomes
All emergent works and submission documents were completed within the State Project Office (SPO) and Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) timeframe and guidelines.
