Sean Edwards
Director | Principal
Sean is a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer with over 30 years of experience in a broad range of civil & structural projects throughout Australia, PNG, Malaysia and the Solomon Islands. His experience has included all facets of project delivery including conceptual planning, design development, detailed design, design management, construction supervision and project management.
Sean’s experience has been gained from both the engineering consultancy and construction sectors. His key strengths are client liaison and ability to conceptualise design concepts to meet client requirements. Design competencies include structural steel, timber, composite material design, post-tensioned and pre-stressed concrete products (modular bridge systems), development of various structural framing systems including composite units as well as Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s); high-capacity screw pile design and industrial and residential subdivisions.
Sean’s experience also includes the development, and management of Research & Development programs to test and certify various structural systems and components, involving material testing, frame analysis inclusive of the development of testing frames and systems, (ie LHL test units) plus the development of data loggers and sensor units with control units. All testing is controlled and to applicable Australian and ASTM Standards. Another strength is the delivery of Research & Development reports including load tables and design charts for various products and structural frame systems.
Sean is also experienced in the development of business Quality Assurance systems as well as Business and Financial Plans.
